Course Description
Fundamentals of materials preservation in libraries, museums and
archival institutions. Preservation continuing education, disaster
recovery and planning, reformatting and digitization projects are
explored. Course Objectives/Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:- recognize the needs for preservation of library materials
- plan a program of preservation and conservation
- analyze and execute treatment of materials in need of preservation
- plan the prevention of deterioration of various library materials.
