3. EBSCO
Explain your choice of Databases for completing this assignment.
For the Ebsco search, once I was on the Electronic Resources page at Buley, I chose ‘Library Science’ for the ‘My Research is in:” drop down box. I started with LISTA: Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (Ebsco) because it is a subject specific database which indexes over 600 periodicals, books, research reports and proceedings. I also chose ERIC database because it is a subject related database and provides full text articles on come articles.
For the FirstSearch search, once I was on the Electronic Resources page at Buley, I chose Library Science’ for the ‘My Research is in:” drop down box. I started with Library Literature (FS) because the annotation stated it “Indexes and abstracts library and information science literature.”
For the conference proceedings articles I chose the PapersFirst database as the annotation states it is “An OCLC index of worldwide conference proceedings”.
My bibliography is listed below.
