How many FS databases does Buley subscribe to?
Buley Library subscribes to 22 databases.Which FS Databases should you consult to find resources for a paper on Information Literacy and why?
I used the ‘suggest best databases’ function on the search screen, typed in ‘information literacy’ and ‘education’ with the results showing the following three databases:• WorldCat
• LibraryLit
• Dissertations
I broadened my search to ‘information literacy’ and ‘general’ to see the difference it would make and the results showed the following databases:
• Article 1st
• Dissertations
• Ebooks
• EssayGenLit
• WilsonSelectPlus
• WorldCat
I would start with these databases as the FS databases recommended as that is one of the features of FS. This function has been designed to aid the researcher and does much of the initial sifting through sources to find the relevant ones.
If you had to do a literature review on Domestic Violence which FS databases will you search and why?
